El Al carry-on size and weight in 2026
El Al (Israel, IATA code LY) allows cabin bags up to 56 cm long, 45 cm wide and 25 cm deep; the weight limit is 8 kg.
The dimensions include wheels, handles and outer pockets. A soft bag can usually be squeezed a little, but a hard-shell suitcase cannot lose that extra centimetre — and that is exactly when gate staff ask you to pay.
Instead of guessing, open Kalibrator: pick El Al, enter the size of your suitcase or bag and see in 3D whether it fits the sizer and where exactly it sticks out.
